Whether you've lived here all your life or you're one of our welcome visitors, you'll treasure the stunning panorama of the Bay visible from the decks of our Golden Gate Ferries. These comfortable and convenient vessels depart San Francisco from behind the historic San Francisco Ferry Building (foot of Market Street) and cruise to sunny Sausalito or Larkspur in Marin County. Once underway, they offer dramatic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Angel Island, and the San Francisco skyline. (The bridge at sunset is especially spectacular!)

The Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry departs from the historic San Francisco Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street and arrives at the visually stunning Larkspur Ferry Terminal in the heart of Marin County, just a short walk from Larkspur Landing shopping center. Once a quarry near San Quentin State Prison, the landing now features a delightful array of unique shops, wonderful restaurants and relaxing outdoor areas. Golden Gate's Larkspur ferry fleet includes large 725-passenger vessels, plus the smaller but swifter catamarans M.V Del Norte and M.V. Mendocino. Trips across the San Francisco Bay range from 30 to 50 minutes (depending on vessel type) and offer spectacular views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Angel Island, Marin hill towns, and magnificent Mount Tamalpais. Larkspur ferries feature indoor and outdoor seating, full bars, and room for bicycles. |

The Golden Gate Sausalito Ferry departs from the historic San Francisco Ferry Building at the foot of Market Street, and arrives in the heart of downtown Sausalito - a charming, Mediterranean-style sea village in sunny Marin County. Settled in the 1860's, Sausalito is a delightful little enclave featuring speciality shops, fine boutiques, and superb dining. The Golden Gate Sausalito Ferry comfortably accommodates up to 725 passengers and features indoor and outdoor seating, a full bar and room for up to 75 bicycles. The 30-minute trip across San Francisco Bay features fabulous views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate Bridge. |
